The Music Creators Growth Fund is a new Arts Council England investment programme designed to support the growth of UK music creators developing original new music.
The programme has a £3 million budget for 2026/27 and provides direct investment to help established music creators develop sustainable careers, strengthen their skills and increase professional opportunities.
The fund is open to artists, artist collectives, bands, composers, DJs, groups, producers and songwriters. Applicants may operate as individuals, sole traders, unincorporated groups or micro, small and medium-sized companies, subject to eligibility requirements. Companies are only eligible where they have been created solely to manage or advance one specific named music creator.
Funding is intended to help music creators strengthen their skills and capacity, create and share high-quality work, innovate, diversify income and build new professional opportunities. This can include creating and releasing new work, touring and showcasing, expanding national or international reach and developing new approaches to creating and distributing music.
Applicants must have an established professional track record, including at least three years of active music creation practice and a minimum of £5,000 income from music-related activity during a full financial year within the previous three financial years. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate relevant professional achievements.
Applicants are required to secure at least 25% of their total project budget as cash match funding.
