Made Smarter Yorkshire & Humber offers fully funded skills and leadership programmes designed to help manufacturing SMEs embrace digital technologies, drive productivity and improve business performance. The initiative supports businesses on their digital transformation journey by equipping leaders and employees with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools needed to adopt advanced manufacturing technologies and manage organisational change.
The programme includes two key training opportunities. Digital Manufacturing Leadership is aimed at senior and emerging leaders who want to develop a strategic approach to digital transformation. Participants learn about Industry 4.0 technologies, create a technology-enabled growth strategy and develop practical plans to support business improvement and long-term growth.
Digital Manufacturing Champions is designed for managers and operational staff responsible for leading digital projects within their organisations. The course focuses on digital adoption, project delivery and change management, helping participants build implementation plans that support productivity and competitiveness.
Delivered with support from Sheffield Hallam University and industry experts, the programmes combine workshops, online learning, practical projects and peer networking. Participants gain exposure to technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, robotics and data-driven manufacturing systems.
The training provides a valuable opportunity for Yorkshire manufacturers to strengthen leadership capability, build digital skills and create actionable growth plans that help their businesses become more resilient, innovative and competitive in an increasingly technology-driven marketplace.
