Health Inclusion Seed Funding

The Health for All Inclusion Health Seed Funding programme has been launched by Cambridgeshire County Council to support projects that improve health outcomes for people experiencing some of the greatest health inequalities in society. The initiative provides funding for community organisations, charities and voluntary groups to test new ideas, expand existing services and develop innovative approaches that improve wellbeing and access to support.

Many individuals face multiple barriers that impact their health and ability to access services. These challenges can include homelessness, social isolation, substance misuse, experiences of domestic abuse, involvement with the justice system, insecure immigration status or other forms of disadvantage. This funding aims to support projects that address these issues through early intervention, prevention and practical support within local communities.

Grants of between £5,000 and £25,000 are available for organisations operating within Cambridgeshire, excluding Peterborough. Funding can support new projects, pilot activities or enhancements to existing initiatives that demonstrate a clear benefit for inclusion health groups. Projects may focus on improving wellbeing, increasing community connections, helping people navigate services, developing confidence and skills, or addressing wider factors that influence health such as housing, debt or social exclusion.

The programme recognises that health is influenced by a range of social and economic circumstances and therefore welcomes applications from organisations that may not traditionally provide healthcare services. Applicants are encouraged to develop locally-led solutions that respond to the specific needs of the communities they support.

Applications close on 14 August 2026, with funded projects expected to begin within three months of approval and conclude before 31 March 2028. This opportunity is particularly well suited to charities, community groups and voluntary organisations seeking to tackle health inequalities and improve outcomes for some of Cambridgeshire’s most vulnerable residents.
