The Great British Energy Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks is a UK capital grant programme designed to strengthen domestic manufacturing capacity for key components used in offshore wind generation and electricity networks. The fund has a total value of up to £300 million and aims to address supply chain constraints while supporting the UK’s clean energy and net zero ambitions.
The fund opened in December 2025 and will remain open until 10 December 2026, or until the available funding is fully allocated. Grant funding must be drawn down between April 2026 and March 2030, with payments made in arrears following eligible and verified expenditure.
Funding is targeted at UK-based manufacturers planning to construct new production facilities or expand existing ones to manufacture critical offshore wind and electricity network components. Supported projects are expected to increase domestic supply chain resilience, create skilled jobs, stimulate private investment, and contribute to greener, shorter supply chains across the UK.
Eligible applicants are typically UK-registered companies with well-developed proposals that demonstrate clear market demand and deliver long-term benefits to the UK energy system. Applications are assessed competitively against eligibility requirements and strategic objectives, including value for money, deliverability and contribution to UK supply chain capacity.
