Forward Grant

A grant funding initiative delivered by Founderland to support early-stage, underrepresented women founders building high-growth businesses across Europe and the UK. The programme is designed to address structural funding gaps by providing direct capital, community access and increased visibility to founders who have historically faced barriers within traditional investment systems.

Each quarter, the Forward Grant awards up to €10,000 in equity-free funding to 2–5 selected founders. Applicants must own at least 50% of their business and typically be at idea, prototype, or early operating stage. The grant is flexible and can be used for product development, marketing, hiring support, operational costs, strategic partnerships, or enabling founders to focus full-time on building their venture.

Beyond financial support, all applicants gain access to Founderland’s broader community, which offers peer connection, mentorship opportunities, networking events and tailored resources aimed at strengthening early-stage businesses. Selected recipients benefit from increased exposure within the startup and investor ecosystem, helping build credibility and long-term fundraising readiness.

The initiative is part of Founderland’s wider mission to create a more inclusive European startup ecosystem by investing directly in ambitious women founders who are often overlooked by conventional funding routes.

The next application deadline for the Q1 2026 cycle is 31 March 2026. Founders are encouraged to apply ahead of the deadline to be considered for the upcoming funding round and associated support.
