Fight for Sight,  a UK-based charity dedicated to funding pioneering research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease has announced that the next round of its Social Change Fund has re-opened for applications.

Grants of up to £30,000 will be available to sight loss organisations supporting blind and vision impaired people.

This funding round focuses on projects designed to reduce loneliness and/or isolation experienced by blind and partially sighted people throughout the UK.

The Charity is keen to fund projects that have a sustainable impact at three levels:

  • Individual: projects and programmes that make a positive difference to people who are blind and vision impaired
  • Sector: build partnerships and connections that improve the resilience of community organisations to step up for blind and vision impaired people
  • Societal/systems: commission research into what it means to be blind or vision impaired. Projects are encouraged to report impact to share with others seeking to drive change.
