The CPCA Internship Programme supports employers to recruit and develop new talent through a range of funded internship opportunities. Designed to reduce recruitment costs while supporting workforce development, the programme offers flexible options for different age groups and business needs.
For individuals aged 22 and above, employers can access a fully funded six-week internship. This includes 100% salary support based on the National Living Wage, alongside an additional £100 per week (£600 total) to support onboarding and associated costs. Interns can work between 12 and 38 hours per week, providing flexibility to suit business requirements.
For younger individuals aged 18 to 21, the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer programme offers two options. The fully funded route provides 100% salary support for a six-week internship, based on National Minimum or Living Wage rates, with an additional £100 per week to support employer costs. Interns can work between 8 and 30 hours per week.
A further option is a 12-week, 50% match-funded internship, where employers contribute to salary costs while receiving CPCA support. This includes 50% wage subsidy and an additional £50 per week to support delivery costs, with flexible working hours between 8 and 30 hours per week.
Overall, the programme provides a cost-effective way for employers to build their workforce, access new talent and support individuals into employment, while benefiting from significant financial support and flexible delivery options
