AXA Startup Angel

AXA Startup Angel is a nationwide competition designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses turn their ideas into reality. Now in its fifth year, and delivered in partnership with The Standard, the initiative aims to support the UK’s most promising startups by providing funding, expert guidance, and practical tools for growth.

The competition is open to anyone with a strong business idea or an existing startup looking to scale. Two winners will each receive a top prize package that includes £25,000 in funding to launch or grow their business, a full year of business insurance from AXA, and dedicated mentoring from the AXA Startup Angels. Winners will also gain access to a mental health and resilience webinar from AXA Health, along with a 50% discount on business health insurance.

In addition to the top prizes, four runners-up will benefit from valuable exposure and support. Each will receive a profile in The Standard and mentoring focused on digital branding, marketing, and social media strategy. This support package is worth over £18,000 and is designed to help boost visibility and accelerate business development.
