Arm Community Fund

The Arm Community Fund is a grant programme administered by the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation that provides small grants to local non-profit organisations working to improve quality of life across Cambridgeshire. The fund supports practical, community-focused projects that deliver tangible benefits and help strengthen local communities, particularly those addressing social challenges and supporting vulnerable residents.

Grants of up to £3,000 are available for projects that align with one or more of the fund’s key priorities: community development and engagement, children, young people and families, and adults facing life crisis. This can include initiatives that improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, strengthen community networks, support families, encourage participation, or provide practical assistance to people experiencing difficult circumstances. Priority is given to organisations that have not recently received funding from the programme.

The fund is open to a wide range of non-profit organisations operating within Cambridgeshire, including charities, community groups, schools, social enterprises and other organisations delivering charitable activities. Projects should demonstrate a clear local need, provide measurable community benefits and show how the proposed activities will positively impact local people.

Applications are submitted through the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation’s general grants process, with funding rounds held four times each year. Deadlines are typically 1 February, 1 May, 1 August and 1 November.

This fund is particularly suitable for community organisations, voluntary groups and charities seeking modest levels of funding to deliver local projects, expand services, enhance community engagement or provide targeted support to vulnerable individuals and families. By funding small-scale, high-impact initiatives, the programme helps build stronger, more resilient communities across Cambridgeshire.
