Advance Training Programme

Opportunity Sheffield’s Advance training programme has returned, as part of the new Skills & Employability South Yorkshire Programme, part-funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund until March 2025.

This fully funded service provides free support to businesses wanting to upskill and reskill staff, develop their workforce and build more productive teams.

Advance advisors will support employers by undertaking training needs analysis, assisting workforce development planning, and by navigating the range of skills programmes, funding and grant schemes that exist.

This can help your employees access the training, qualifications, licences and/or skills to succeed in the workplace and progress with their careers.

Advance offers help accessing a wide range of accredited and non-accredited courses including:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • SharePoint and Power BI
  • Digital Marketing
  • Cyber Security
  • Mental Health First Aid,
  • IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health)
  • Personal Licence
  • Leadership & Management.

Opportunity Sheffield is committed to achieving Net Zero and can offer information, advice and guidance regarding green skills courses.
