CFCI Grants – Construction and Built Environment

The Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry (CFCI) provides grants to support activities that promote excellence, collaboration, education and opportunity across the construction and built environment community.

Funding is available to both individuals and organisations and can support a wide variety of activities, including events, training, research, conferences and other projects that help advance CFCI’s aims. Applicants can be at any stage of study or professional development, with applications welcomed from schools, colleges, individuals and professionals. Projects should have particular, although not exclusive, relevance to Cambridge.

There are three types of funding available:

  • Type 1 Grant: a one-off award of less than £500.
  • Type 2 Grant: a one-off award of more than £500.
  • Type 3 Partnership Grant: three-year partnership funding, with the potential to seek an extension after two years. Funding is more than £500 per year, up to a maximum total grant of £5,000 over five years.

Applications need to explain the purpose of the project, how it supports CFCI’s objectives, who will benefit and the positive impact expected. Applicants must also provide a project budget and explain how any remaining costs will be funded.

Applications can be submitted at any time, making this a flexible funding opportunity for organisations and individuals developing initiatives within the construction and built environment sectors. CFCI Trustees typically consider applications twice a year, in May and November, with applications considered at the next available meeting.
