Weston Park Cancer Charity Large Grants

Weston Park Cancer Charity has launched its 2026/27 Large Grants Programme in partnership with South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cancer Alliance, providing funding for projects that improve cancer outcomes across Yorkshire, Bassetlaw and North Derbyshire. The programme focuses on two key priority areas: Treatment and Care and Early Diagnosis and Prevention.

Grants ranging from £10,000 to £50,000 are available to support community-based and hospital-related projects that make a positive difference to people affected by cancer. Funding is aimed at initiatives that can improve outcomes across the cancer pathway, whether through supporting earlier diagnosis, enhancing patient care, improving treatment experiences or helping people live better with and beyond cancer.

The programme is open to individuals, community groups, charities and organisations delivering innovative projects that support people with a cancer diagnosis. Funding is typically available for projects lasting up to one year, although applications for projects of up to two years will also be considered.

Applications are now open and must be submitted by 5pm on 30 November 2026. Following assessment by the Weston Park Cancer Charity Grant Giving Committee, successful applicants are expected to be notified by April 2027, with funded projects commencing from Spring or Summer 2027.

The programme presents an excellent opportunity for charities, voluntary organisations and healthcare providers to secure substantial funding for projects that improve cancer care and support across the region. Organisations considering an application are encouraged to review the guidance and discuss their project ideas with the charity before submitting a proposal.
