This Is Us Grants

Community groups, charities and local organisations working in North East Sheffield can apply for funding through the This Is Us Grants programme. The fund has been designed to support activities and projects that improve health, wellbeing and social connections, helping residents to live happier, healthier lives.

The programme offers two levels of support, with Small Grants ranging from £1,000 to £5,000 and Medium Grants from £5,001 to £20,000. Organisations that received funding in the first round may also be eligible to apply for continuation funding to help build on the impact of existing projects.

Funding is available for initiatives that address one of three key priorities: creating a friendly and supportive community, encouraging people to lead active lifestyles, or improving access to nature and outdoor spaces. The aim is to empower local communities to develop activities that bring people together, improve physical and mental wellbeing, and strengthen neighbourhood connections.

The grants are targeted at specific communities across North East Sheffield, including Burngreave, Grimesthorpe, Pitsmoor, Firth Park, Crabtree, Fir Vale, Page Hall, Southey Green East and Longley, as well as selected S3, S4 and S5 postcode areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations to secure funding for projects that make a lasting difference to local residents. Whether developing new activities, expanding existing services or supporting community engagement, the programme can help organisations deliver meaningful health and wellbeing outcomes.

Groups interested in applying can request an application pack and guidance from SOAR Community to explore which grant option is most suitable for their project.
