FCDO Global Network Programme

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has launched the Global Network Programme, a leadership development initiative designed to help business leaders navigate an increasingly complex international landscape. The programme brings together participants from business, government, academia and civil society to explore the geopolitical, economic and technological forces shaping global markets.

Delivered through the FCDO’s Diplomatic College, the programme provides access to senior diplomats, policymakers, academics and international experts, offering participants unique insights into topics such as economic security, international trade, defence, emerging technologies, supply chain resilience and global competition.

The initiative is particularly relevant for organisations operating internationally or considering overseas expansion. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of geopolitical risks and opportunities, helping them make more informed strategic decisions, build stronger international relationships and identify new routes to growth.

The programme also aims to foster long-term collaboration through carefully curated cohorts and an ongoing alumni network, providing continued access to senior-level events, discussions and professional connections. Sessions are delivered in person and include workshops, case studies and discussions held under the Chatham House Rule to encourage open and constructive dialogue.

Businesses interested in strengthening their international outlook, understanding global developments and expanding their professional networks can register their interest for future cohorts through the Global Network Programme.
