Business Growth Incentive

The Business Growth Incentive supports businesses in Huntingdonshire to expand, relocate, and invest in commercial premises, while also encouraging inward investment into the district. The programme is aimed at stimulating economic activity by bringing vacant properties back into use and creating new employment opportunities.

Eligible businesses can apply for grants of up to £20,000, with enhanced support of up to £150,000 available for organisations relocating to the Alconbury Weald Enterprise Zone. Funding can be used towards costs associated with moving into long-term vacant properties, including fit-out works, refurbishment, and relocation expenses.

The scheme operates on a match-funded basis, contributing up to 50% of total project costs. It is open to businesses that have been trading for at least 12 months and are planning to grow, move premises, or invest in new space. The programme also supports businesses from outside the area that are looking to establish a presence in Huntingdonshire.

By enabling businesses to occupy empty units and invest in premises, the fund aims to strengthen the local economy, increase commercial activity, and support job creation across the district.

Funding is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early engagement is recommended.
