Pathways to Work Community Fund

The Pathways to Work Community Fund, delivered by Barnsley CVS, supports voluntary and community organisations to engage residents who are currently out of work and help them take initial steps towards employment support.

The fund focuses on informal, community-based engagement rather than structured training or employment programmes, enabling organisations to build trusted relationships and encourage progression. It is particularly relevant for groups already working with people facing barriers such as poor health, social isolation, financial hardship or caring responsibilities.

Grants range from £500 to £7,500, supporting activity over an eight-month period from August 2026 to March 2027. Funding can enhance existing services where organisations have regular contact with working-age adults not currently in employment, including supporting referrals into wider support provision.

Applications are submitted directly to Barnsley CVS, with a fixed deadline in July. Successful applicants will demonstrate their ability to consistently engage target groups and support progression towards employment pathways.
