Farming Equipment and Technology Fund 2026

Financial support to help agricultural businesses in England invest in equipment and technology that improves farm efficiency, sustainability, and animal welfare. The fund provides three separate grants focused on improving productivity, managing slurry more effectively, and enhancing animal health and welfare.

Eligible businesses can apply for one or more grants depending on their needs. Each grant offers funding between £1,000 and £25,000 toward approved equipment within the three themes. As the programme is competitive, applicants may not receive all—or any—of the funding requested.

The scheme is open to farmers, horticulturalists, forestry owners, and contractors who provide services to these sectors, provided their business is registered and based in England. Applicants who have previously received support through earlier FETF rounds or the Countryside Productivity Small Grants Scheme (CPSG) can still apply.

The Animal Health and Welfare grant is available to farms raising specific livestock, including beef and dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, laying hens, and broiler chickens. Other livestock and poultry types are not eligible for this grant.

Successful applicants must purchase and claim funding for their approved items by the programme deadline of 20 January 2027 at midday.

FETF 2026 supports farms in adopting modern technology and equipment to improve productivity, strengthen animal welfare, and manage environmental impacts more effectively.
