Community Health & Wealth Building Delivery Fund

The Community Health and Wealth Building Delivery Fund is a £750,000 investment by Huntingdonshire District Council to support community-led projects that improve health, wellbeing, and economic resilience across Huntingdonshire over a three-year period. The fund is a core part of the Community Health and Wealth Building Strategy, which focuses on tackling the root causes of inequality and creating the conditions for residents and communities to thrive.

Purpose and focus:
The fund supports voluntary and community organisations to deliver initiatives that:

• improve physical and mental health, including increased physical activity and wellbeing;
• strengthen economic resilience, particularly around skills, employment, and reducing barriers to opportunity;
• increase social connection and reduce isolation within communities.

Eligibility:
Applications are open to voluntary and community sector organisations based in Huntingdonshire whose projects directly benefit local residents. Applicants must have a dedicated organisational bank account. The fund is not open to individuals, commercial organisations, or precepting authorities.

Application priorities:
Projects should align with one or more of the strategy’s priorities, demonstrate a preventative approach, include match funding (including in-kind support), show how the funding will expand or develop existing provision, and outline plans for sustainability beyond the funded period.

Application process:
The fund operates a two-stage application process, starting with an Expression of Interest, followed by a full application by invitation for shortlisted projects.
