The Digital Divide Grant from The Access Foundation supports charities and eligible not-for-profit organisations to reduce digital exclusion among disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Funding is intended to improve access to technology, digital skills, and IT facilities, helping individuals participate more fully in education, employment, and everyday life.
Who can apply:
Registered charities and eligible not-for-profit organisations, including Community Interest Companies limited by guarantee, operating in countries where Access Group has offices. Individuals, CICs limited by shares, religious organisations, animal charities, and political organisations are not eligible.
Funding available:
Grants typically range from £15,000 to £50,000 and are usually awarded for projects lasting up to 12 months, with longer projects considered in exceptional cases.
What the grant funds:
Projects must be clearly defined and focused on specific activities or services that deliver measurable outcomes, such as numbers of people gaining digital skills, accessing online services, or progressing into education or employment. Applicants must provide a detailed budget and clearly explain the intended impact.
What is not funded:
The fund does not support general running costs, individual applications, or activities related to religion, animals, or politics.
